The Milwaukees debut "American Anthems Vol.2"
for fans at intimate rehearsal space show
On Saturday, April 3, the Milwaukees threw a party for
a hundred friends, family, and fans and performed their
new album, American Anthems Vol. 2, in its entirety. For
the second set, they invited some friends - including Hey
Tiger's Christina Alessi, Readymade Breakup's Paul Rosevear,
and Hero Pattern's Jay Kundrath - onstage to perform a few
old favorites and some inspired covers. Pearl Studios, the
rehearsal studio near Journal Square, recently renovated
one of its rooms into a concert space complete with stage,
lighting, and sound, and the Milwaukees show was only the
first of what is planned to be a series of concerts there.
So not only can we look forward to a new CD from one of
NJ's best indie bands, but Jersey City may just have a viable
new venue for original live music too. Winner!
