RAIN - La Vache Qui Rit (Peterbilt/Dischord)
 This record is the re-release of the first and last record from this DC band that featured Bert Queiroz from Youth Brigade on bass and Jon Kirschten from Gray Matter on vocals and guitar. Rain formed in 1986 and broke up in 1990, after releasing La Vache Qui Rit on Guy Picciotto's (Rites of Spring) Peterbilt label as a six song 12-inch. The record went out of print shortly after its release until Peterbilt re-released it with the help of Dischord in September of this year. If this hadn't been re-released ,I probably never would have found it, and I'm damn glad I did. They've got the typical late '80s DC sound going, Rites of Spring mixed with a more straightforward Fugazi, which is by no means a bad way to go. This is not a record to go overlooked. - Dave Dillon
